Michael Frangione
Operator
After earning his degree from the Automotive Business School of Canada, Michael opened Essential Auto in January 2023. He grew the company from a one-person operation into a dedicated team of ADAS technicians and enjoys the diagnostic problems no one else can figure out. Outside of work, he enjoys travelling and hanging out with family.
Mat Tremblay
Manager
Mat joined Essential Auto in January 2023. He enjoys the chance to learn something new every day and apply his problem-solving skills, all while working alongside a great team of knowledgeable people. Outside of work, he likes to stay active, whether he's outdoors or simply relaxing in the fresh air.
Robert Genereux
ADAS Calibration Technician
Robert joined Essential Auto in May 2025 and brings experience as a 310S automotive service technician. He enjoys working with new technology and precision-based tasks, and takes pride in knowing accurate calibration helps keep vehicles safe. Outside of work, he loves spending time with his daughter.
Wayne Gilmore
Windshield Installer
Wayne joined Essential Auto in June 2026 and holds ADAS certification. He appreciates a shop that's always clean and a team that works together. Outside of work, he enjoys playing music and riding his bicycle.
Carson Smith
ADAS Calibration Technician
Carson joined Essential Auto in February 2026, holding a Full G Driver's Licence and Working at Heights certification. He enjoys working with a great team and expanding his knowledge as ADAS systems evolve. Outside of work, he enjoys dirt biking and working on vehicles, staying active while sharpening his mechanical know-how.

Jacob joined Essential Auto in April 2024. He enjoys the fast pace of the job and solving new problems every day, all while helping customers have a great experience. Outside of work, he's usually golfing, camping, or relaxing with family and friends.
Kalrav Gadhavi
ADAS Calibration Technician
Kalrav joined Essential Auto in April 2026, bringing a post-grad in Mechatronics and 3 years of ADAS experience. He enjoys working with the latest automotive technology and ADAS systems, growing as a "car doctor" for modern vehicle safety. Outside of work, he's into music, travelling, and anime, always curious about the "why" behind things.

ADAS Calibration Technician
Yahya joined Essential Auto in January 2024. He enjoys diagnosing vehicles and solving problems, and likes keeping up with new systems as he continues improving his skills. Outside of work, he's often at the gym, skateboarding in the summer, and snowboarding in the winter.

I had an amazing experience with Essential Auto Calibration & Glass Inc.. They were extremely professional, honest, and knowledgeable. My ProMaster City was going into limp mode with ESC and “Service Hill Holder” warnings, and they properly diagnosed the issue instead of just clearing codes.
They found broken wires related to the camshaft position sensor, performed the repair, completed the proxy alignment and steering angle calibration, and made sure everything was working correctly before giving the van back. The van now drives great and the warning lights are gone.
Their communication was excellent, pricing was fair, and you can tell they truly care about fixing the problem the right way. Highly recommend them to anyone needing electrical diagnostics, calibration, or automotive repair in Ottawa.

Matt and Michael are wonderful, professional, knowledgeable and honest people. I came in with radar problem on my 2022 ioniq 5. They addressed the problem where the dealership I was previously dealing with didn't really seem to know what was wrong (hunt club Hyundai) told me a tire alignment would help and then that it would cost 500$ to just take off the bumper. Essential auto, did a calibration unfortunately it failed, but then they did another calibration and diagnostic free of charge and found that the radar unit itself is dead. Once they found out my car was still under warranty they even hand wrote a letter to give to the dealship to address the issue. In an industry of shady people, Matt and Michael are honest and trustworthy and their shop does solid work. Can't recommend them enough, thank you guys for the hard honest work!

I had an issue with my front sensor for over a month and went to several places, but no one was able to fix it. I finally found this location, and I’m really glad I did. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable, and they were able to fix the issue in less than two hours at a great price. I highly recommend this place if you need any sensor repairs for your car.

Michael was able to help solve the issues with my blind spot sensors and saved me thousands of dollars compared to a dealer quote. In July our home and vehicle were struck by a tornado. We thought for sure our truck was a write off, but it was able to be fully repaired and part of the repair work was done by the team at Essential Auto. Our new backup camera was having issues due to additional body repair work done after the camera was installed, and Michael Frangione was able to quickly diagnose and re-calibrate it. I would definitely recommend Essential Auto for their knowledgeable and professional services.
